Celebrate the last days of Rescue at a special 18+ event

Take the night off to visit the museum without kids at this unique 18+ event.

Enjoy a drink after work in the centre of town, have fun flying a helicopter or racing a jet ski along with an action-packed program.


  • Experience Rescue before it ends on Sunday 8 March - climb the mini-rock wall, learn rope knots, escape a smoke filled room and more!
  • Hear fascinating talks from our guest speakers:
    • Yetta Gurtner from James Cook University. Yetta will chat about being disaster resilient in North Queensland. 
    • Korah Parackal from the Cyclone Testing Station. Korah will talk about engineering houses to resist cyclones and the fascinating work of the Cyclone Testing Station - the only one of its kind located in North Queensland at James Cook University.
  • Get crafty with adults activities and orienteer your way through the museum with your friends on our fun trail.
  • Enjoy a drink at the Museum Pop-Up bar. Food is also available for purchase.
  • Relax as you enjoy three levels of North Queensland galleries, take a tour through Pandora or have fun in Sciencentre

WIN!  All tickets purchased online go in the draw to a win night for two at The Ville Resort-Casino including breakfast.
