Be a Hero holiday program

Kids of all ages can enjoy action-packed activities across the summer school holidays. Combine your visit to the all new exhibition Rescue with a drone coding workshop, craft fun and explore three levels of interactive galleries including Sciencentre.

Orienteering Trail
Use some of the skills that rescue personnel use to find people in wild terrain to navigate your way from control to control throughout the museum.

Drone Coding Workshop
Monday 6  - Friday 10 January 2020
10am, 12pm and 2pm

In this immersive STEM workshop kids will learn how drones can be programmed to solve autonomous tasks and explore drone coding concepts.

Presented by STEM Punks, this project-based, hands-on session will show participants how to create algorithms for autonomous control of a drone and its accessories. At the end of the class, kids will combine their skills in coding and drones to complete a search and rescue mission!

Please note: 

• Workshops are designed for children aged 7-12 years. 

• Duration 1.5 hours

• All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must pay museum admission upon arrival. Annual Pass holders are free.

• Ticket price of $15 includes entry to the Museum and the all new exhibition Rescue​Purchase your ticket at the Museum ticket desk.
