Water and Waste in Townsville – Where are we going?

Tuesday 13 August | 12pm - 1pm

As part of Free for Locals Day on Tuesday 13 August, Holly Whiting will chat about water conservation and water use in Townsville as part of the monthly Discover More talk series.

Holly Whiting is the Technical Officer, Catchments with the Creek to Coral team at Townsville City Council. The aim of the Creek to Coral program is to help protect the local marine environment from the impacts of land-based activities. The program is a Townsville City Council initiative that fosters the sustainable use and management of coastal marine and freshwater environments.

Holly will talk about how we can save water in our homes and gardens and how to protect the water quality in our catchment. She will also give some useful tips on minimising our waste footprint and how to recycle correctly. An informative and useful talk for any Townsville local with the interest in creating a more sustainable, resourceful future for the city.

This talk is free to attend.
