This year Queensland Museum is bringing World Science Festival Brisbane back to Townsville with an awesome line-up of events and activities for all ages. 

STREET SCIENCE 

Saturday 9 March 2019 
9.30am - 3pm
 

On Saturday 9 March the Museum will turn into a science playground with free admission all day thanks to World Science Festival Brisbane Regional Program.

Come along for immersive, family-friendly events for everyone to enjoy. Take part in a range of hands-on activities that explore everything from new technology to environmental conservation, as you discover the wonder and excitement of science.

DR KARL FOR KIDS

The Ville Resort-Casino
11.30am - 12.30pm
 

Join Science Broadcaster Dr Karl Kruszelnicki as he investigates the Big Question – is there life beyond Earth? You’ll also get the chance to ask all your burning science questions be they chemical, physical, technological, astrophysical or astronomical!

Suitable for all ages. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. This event will be followed by a book signing at the Museum of Tropical Queensland as part of the Street Science free entry event.

EXTREME MOMENTS IN SCIENCE WITH DR KARL

Friday 8 March 2019
The Ville Resort-Casino
7pm - 8.30pm
 

Dr Karl will take you on a brand new roller coaster ride through the ‘badlands’ of science where you’ll discover the answers to questions you never knew existed – and where you will laugh and learn. 

Recommended for children aged 13 years and over. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. This event will be followed by a book signing at The Ville Resort-Casino.
