Palaeo Playspace

Have a rooaarrsome time in this fun, interactive area

The Palaeo Playspace is designed to provide our youngest visitors with an interactive 'junior palaeontologist' experience.

Things to see and do:

  • Dress up as a palaeontologist, grab a helmet, bucket, spade and brush to begin your dig for dino bones.
  • Get hands on in the Dig Pit using special tools to dig for dinosaur skeletons
  • Get up close and hands on at the Touch Table with dinosaur fossils, casts and bones.
  • Design your own dinosaur mask. Was your dinosaur a meat eater with sharp teeth? Did it have horns? You decide to create your own unique, prehistoric disguise.

The Palaeo Playspace is open daily from 9.30am - 4pm and is located in the Great Gallery. Entry is included with Museum admission.
