Booking your visit

Bookings are essential for all school visits. This is to ensure our staff are available to assist you, that you have access to the exhibitions and that your students get the maximum learning benefit from their experiences at the Museum. Please book as early as possible by filling in the form below.

Before you make your booking

Make sure you read Schools and Groups, School Programs and Planning Your Visit. A booking to visit the Museum and into specific School Programs are all made on the one booking form. Please submit one booking form per visit

Cost

There are charges for some exhibitions and programs. See Planning your Visit for details.

Confirmation

Your booking is not confirmed until you have received a written Booking Confirmation.

School Booking Terms and Conditions
  1. Confirmation: Your booking is not confirmed until you receive your written Booking Confirmation. If you do not receive your confirmation within 5 working days, please contact our Booking Officer. Once confirmed, your group will receive information regarding your for your visit.
  2. Changing your booking: Contact our Booking Officer as soon as possible if you need to change your booking or if your written confirmation does not reflect your submitted booking, or (07) 47260600
  3. Prices: Please be aware that all prices are subject to change. A general museum visit is free of charge with some charges for special exhibitions. Led school programs led by museum staff are charged and include GST.
  4. A minimum payment for 20 students is required for most optional school programs .
  5. Payment: For an invoice, on arrival sign the Confirmation Entry Ticket and an invoice will be posted out.
  6. Notice of Cancellation: We require at least seven (7) days notice prior to the visit when cancelling. Cancellations received less that seven (7) days prior to the visit may result in a charge if a staff member has been booked to deliver a program. Cancellations may be sent via phone, fax or email.
  7. Museum of Tropical Queensland does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after a booking.

Privacy: The information collected and maintained by Queensland Museum comprises your name, school/group name, contact details and information specific to your booking. This information allows us to provide you with up-to-date information including current exhibitions, events, special offers and E-News, our on-line newsletter. Customers who elect to provide personal information on the booking form are advised that the management of such information falls within the scope of the Queensland Government’s Privacy Standard. In accordance with this standard, your personal information will not be passed on to any third party without your consent (unless required by law).
